Early childhood education constitutes a fundamental stage in children’s comprehensive development, characterized by the acquisition of cognitive, social, and emotional skills linked to creativity. Creativity is essential because it enables children to adapt to new environments, solve problems innovatively, and explore their surroundings. However, limitations in teacher training to promote creative processes are still evident, which perpetuates traditional pedagogical practices with limited innovation in the classroom. This article aims to analyze the importance of teacher preparation in the development of creativity among children aged three to four years. It is argued that the educational environment, teaching resources, and pedagogical strategies influence the stimulation of creative thinking, highlighting play, dramatization, storytelling, and art as fundamental strategies at this stage. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach, involving early childhood educators from child development centers. Surveys, direct observation, and documentary analysis were used as data collection techniques. The results revealed limited use of strategies such as music, storytelling, and art, as well as difficulties related to the lack of material resources and available time. It is concluded that teacher preparation is a determining factor in the development of creativity during early childhood; therefore, continuous professional development represents a key element for transforming pedagogical practices and promoting more innovative and meaningful learning experiences in current educational contexts.
