Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Los autores interesados en publicar en la Revista Transdisciplinaria de Estudios Sociales y Tecnológicos (RTEST) podrán enviar sus contribuciones a: rtest@excedinter.com

En la Revista solo se aceptarán artículos científicos inéditos que no estén comprometidos con otras publicaciones periódicas. El idioma de publicación es el español; aunque se aceptarán artículos en inglés y portugués.

Los tipos de contribuciones que aceptará son: artículos científicos resultados de investigaciones, ensayos, reseñas y revisiones bibliográficas.

Las contribuciones deben escribirse en Microsoft Office Word (“.doc” o “.docx”), empleando letra Arial, 12 puntos, interlineado sencillo. La hoja tendrá las dimensiones 21,59 cm x 27,94 cm (formato carta). Los márgenes superior e inferior serán a 2,5 cm y se dejará 2 cm para el derecho e izquierdo.

Estructura de los manuscritos

Los artículos enviados a la revista tendrán la siguiente estructura:

  • Extensión entre 15 y 20 páginas.
  • Título en español e inglés (15 palabras como máximo).
  • Nombre (completo) y apellidos de cada uno de los autores. Se sugiere a los autores que en el nombre científico se eliminen los caracteres especiales del español y otras lenguas (tildes, ñ, ç…) para estandarizarlo conforme a los parámetros de la lengua franca (inglés) y ser indexados correctamente en las bases de datos internacionales. En caso que los autores cuenten con dos apellidos deben unirse por medio de un guión.
  • Correo electrónico, identificador ORCID e Institución. Los autores que carezcan de ORCID deben registrarse en https://orcid.org/register
  • Resumen en español y en inglés (no excederá las 250 palabras) y palabras clave (de tres a diez en español e inglés).
  • Introducción; Materiales y métodos; Resultados y discusión (para artículos de investigación). El resto de las contribuciones tendrá en vez de estos dos apartados anteriores: Metodología, Desarrollo. Todos los artículos contarán con: Conclusiones, nunca numeradas; y Referencias bibliográficas. Los Anexos, si los tiene, se incluirán al final del documento.

Otros aspectos formales

  • Las páginas se enumerarán en la esquina inferior derecha.
  • Las tablas serán enumeradas según su orden de citación y su título se colocará en la parte superior (Ej, Tabla 1. Nombre).
  • Las figuras no excederán los 100 Kb, ni tendrán un ancho superior a los 10 cm. Serán entregadas aparte en formato de imagen: .jpg o .png. En el texto deberán ser numeradas, según su orden y su nombre se colocará en la parte inferior (Ej. Figura 1. Nombre).
  • Las abreviaturas acompañarán al texto que la define la primera vez, entre paréntesis.
  • Las notas se localizarán al pie de página y estarán enumeradas con números arábigos. Tendrán una extensión de hasta 60 palabras.
  • Los anexos serán mencionados en el texto de la manera: ver anexo 1 ó (anexo 1).

Citas y Referencias bibliográficas

Las citas y referencias bibliográficas se ajustarán al estilo de la Asociación Americana de Psicología (APA), 7ma edición, 2019. Se deben utilizar como mínimo 25 fuentes que se encuentren en el rango de los últimos cinco a diez años. En el caso de fuentes que sean artículos científicos se deben utilizar, preferentemente, aquellas que provengan de revistas científicas indexadas en Scopus y SciELO. En las referencias se mencionarán solo las citadas en el texto, ordenadas alfabéticamente con sangría francesa.

Authors interested in publishing in Revista Transdisciplinaria de Estudios Sociales y Tecnológicos (RTEST) may send their contributions to: rtest@excedinter.com

Only unpublished scientific articles that are not linked to other periodicals will be accepted in the Journal.

The language of publication is Spanish; although articles in English and Portuguese will be accepted.The types of contributions that will be accepted are: scientific articles, research results, essays, reviews and bibliographic reviews.Contributions must be written in Microsoft Office Word (“.doc” or “.docx”), using Arial font, 12 point, single spaced. The sheet will have the dimensions 21.59 cm x 27.94 cm (letter format). The upper and lower margins will be 2.5 cm and 2 cm will be left for the right and left.

Structure of the manuscripts

The articles sent to the journal will have the following structure:

• Extension between 15 and 20 pages.

• Title in English and Spanish (15 words maximum).

• Full name of each of the authors.

• Email, ORCID identifier and Institution. Authors without an ORCID must register at https://orcid.org/register

• Abstract in English and Spanish (not to exceed 250 words) and keywords (three to ten in English and Spanish).

•Introduction; Materials and methods; Results and discussion (for research articles). The rest of the contributions will have instead of these two previous sections: Methodology, Development. All the articles will have: Conclusions, never numbered; and Bibliographic references. The Annexes, if you have them, will be included at the end of the document.

Other formal aspects

• The pages will be numbered in the lower right corner.

• The tables will be numbered according to their citation order and their title will be placed at the top (eg, Table 1. Name).

• The figures will not exceed 100 Kb, nor will they have a width greater than 10 cm. They will be delivered separately in image format: .jpg or .png. In the text they should be numbered, according to their order and their name will be placed at the bottom (eg Figure 1. Name).

• The abbreviations will accompany the text that defines them the first time, between parentheses.

• The notes will be located at the bottom of the page and will be numbered with Arabic numbers. They will have an extension of up to 60 words.

• The annexes will be mentioned in the text of the manner: see annex 1 or (annex 1).

Quotations and References

The citations and bibliographical references will follow the style of the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th edition, 2019. A minimum of 25 sources that are in the range of the last five to ten years must be used. In the case of sources that are scientific articles, those that come from scientific journals indexed in Scopus and SciELO should preferably be used. In the references, only those cited in the text will be mentioned, arranged alphabetically with French indentation.
