ABSTRACT
The specialized literature describes a stage of oral language development in which the child may present difficulties in articulating the phonemes of his or her language, without being considered a communication disorder. These errors are called evolutionary or physiological dyslalias. Its prevention and correction from an early age is the responsibility, in the first instance, of the family. This problem presents nuances in the case of those boys and girls with strabismus and amblyopia. For these reasons, the objective of this article is to present the fundamental ideas that make up a proposal for guidelines to promote the role of the family of children with these deficiencies in the development of oral language, while stimulating the process of correction and /or compensation of your vision. The methods that enabled the development of this work were at the theoretical level (analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction, and the systemic approach) and at the empirical level (document analysis and in-depth interviews). These guidelines are obtained as a result of the exchange with community speech therapists and ophthalmology specialists and other proposals that were systematized from previous works. The proposed guidelines have an eminently preventive focus and their implementation has the favorable support of the children's families, as they can contribute to the improvement in their children's communication.
