ABSTRACTIn the work, the results of the systematization of the practical experience of integrated community work are exposed, with the complex communities in the district 72 in the Holguín municipality. The development of actions of the comprehensive community work group led to the improvement of the economic, environmental and socio-cultural conditions of the community, where socially vulnerable individuals were cared for and involved, who were transformed as a result of these community actions. The "Wings of Hummingbird" project represented an opportunity for change, a refreshing perspective that allowed them to insert themselves into social life, work and the community. It is shown how the work of the integrated community work group, when it is coherent and truly comprehensive of all the factors that promote change, positive results are obtained in solving the problems and insufficiencies detected. Emphasis is placed on differentiated care for women, children, families and individuals in vulnerable situations, and especially those who need reeducation and social reinsertion actions. Participatory action research methods were used, considering social participation as the starting category.
