The study focused on analyzing the role of the History of Cuba course in the development of moral education as an expression of the civic formation of upper secondary school students. Its main objective was to evaluate how this subject can contribute to the consolidation of civic values and prepare students to actively exercise citizenship in diverse social contexts. To achieve this purpose, both empirical and theoretical methods were employed, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon and systematizing the pedagogical, didactic, psychological, philosophical, and sociological frameworks that guide the teaching-learning process. The findings of the research highlighted the need to reinterpret the relationships between the past, present, and future as a foundation for strengthening students’ ethical and civic education.
