The study characterized the raw water through physicochemical and microbiological analyses. Based on these parameters, a material balance analysis was performed to understand and optimize the chemical reactions in the reactor tank for the production of table water. This analysis was based on continuous monitoring and control of the treatment process variables and the determination of production costs. An efficient sedimentation-flocculation process was established for water treatment in the reactor tank. The physicochemical and microbiological analyses confirmed that the treated water meets the parameters established by the standard for table water, ensuring its quality for consumption. Through a comprehensive material balance analysis, the dosage of reagents, specifically calcium or sodium hypochlorite, was optimized, achieving a significant reduction in input consumption and optimizing production costs. The sedimentation-flocculation water treatment process was optimized, complying with standard NB-325002 and improving the quality of the water for consumption. Efficient reagent dosing was achieved, reducing costs and alkalinity, and increasing the elimination of microorganisms. The implementation of monitoring and maintenance ensured stable operation.
